Michael teams up with daughter Gabrielle to talk about and hopefully learn something from this new television show. Even if the television show sucks, we’ll still learn something and best of all, Gabrielle can brag like a little brat that she has fans all over the world the next time Miss Pretty Pants at school tries to one up her. Let’s just hope CBS doesn’t pull this one like they did Pirate Master.

Come join us at http://kidnation.tubecasts.com Gabrielle and Mike have already recorded a preview show, so check it out.

And, yes, we’ve already been asked if there’s going to be a “super secret after show” like Keith and The Girl’s, where Marji verbally beat’s Mike’s ass for what goes on during Armchair Kid Nation.

Watching our specimens is getting more and more interesting. Once again, Pirate Master is displaying human hierarchy in ways that Survivor and The Apprentice has not. Add the Ghost Crew and this episode of Pirate Master has become an all-time-favorite. Mark Burnett has really given folks who study people a lot on which to chew.

So Jupiter got the ax. She seems like a really sweet and upstanding person in real life but un-fortunately on tonight’s episode, she caused the yelling of Jupiter: Stupider! She’d make a great neighbor and probably wonderful mom but the poor girl just ain’t got it for realty TV.

The really interesting study, though, is The Triad — especially Az and Jay. Jay is first at being second. Further more, Az is letting his ego and insecurity get in the way of good decisions. Is Jay playing him?

It’s too bad this Pirate Master was put on in the summer and that it has to stand the mediocre court of big network TV. It’s really a well done show with tons of human behavior to observe. We just hope it survives the gauntlet of simplicity.

It looks like Mark Burnett decided to make this show about pirates and not love. But there is more: this episode of Pirate Master is starting to show the folly of saying too much and using bull shit to cover up your true motives. Though Azmyth seems like a cool guy to have at a party, it looks like his over confidence concerning his ability to push his agenda with one hand while fluffing the people with another is going to come back and bite him on the ass.

In other news, lately, Mike spent a lot of time listening to “Album of the Year” by Brother Love and listening to BroLo on podcasts. Many asked us if James was the crazy caffeinated guy we saw on the Yahoo preview tape but as you’ll see in our interview, he passionate but not exactly the guy on the video. He is, however, a very competitive professional and it shows in his drive to be among the top four social networking sites: MySpace, FaceBook, LinkedIn and — when you grow up and want to get serious about social networking to further your professional en devours — Zoodango.

Our favorite Windy City Italian joins us on Armchair Apprentice to give us the inside scoop from everything to sleeping out in tents to sitting at the final board room to having the biggest Apprentice romance in TV history. Nicole may have learned how to hold back in the board room (it’s not a good idea to be a Chatty Cathy in front of the Trumpster) but she doesn’t hold back on Armchair Apprentice — and, of course, that’s what we love.

This is part 1 of two with our review of the final episode of this season, play a some from the press conference and tell you who we met and what we did at the finale after party.

In the near future we hope to be having the rest of the candidates on our show — we’ve met all of these folks and we think you’ll love our conversations with them.

And it’s one encounter with Apprentice folks after another. Wish you were all here but since you’re not, we thought we’d up date ya!

We recorded this in the Hard Rock Cafe in the Universal City’s City Walk (yup — we walked right by where the roller skating task took place). To date we have met all of the Candidates with the exception of Stefanie. Mike is doing a lot of gut-sucking-in. Marji is doing the eagle eye to — spotting all of the candidates.

Listen to see how we met some of the folks you love to watch and what they’re really like in real life as well as how goofy a couple of hay-seeds from Ohio felt in a few instances.

Later we’ll be going to the finale at the Hollywood Bowl and then hopefully a little more partying — and God only knows what Monday will bring. Needless to say, we probably won’t have our regular after-viewing show out until later Monday (or so) but when we do, we hope we have some good stuff to tell ya.

Gotta run — more stuff to do!

Finally, after all the wait we get to hear Martin’s side of the story. As he says, and we agree, they really should have the cameras also rolling over at the Pondi where there is even crazier things going on - hmmmmm, is Mark Burnett getting another idea for a reality show?

Martin was a blast to talk with - we learn that Derek is a “honey whore” and Aimee “puts her heart where her mouth is” (what a cool compliment). Actually, he had great things to say about all the candidates and about the experience.

After making the picnic shirt famous I think we will be seeing a lot more of Martin and great things he is doing.

You can visit his website at http://themartinclarke.com/ where you can learn more about his book “POWER INFLUENCE AND PROFILING: How to psychologically profile your way to the Top by Martin Han Clake, Esq.” Martin has also been active with the Make A Wish foundation as well as working for the City of Atlanta, Georgia.

Part 1 of 2 — Our conversation with Martin Clarke

Though he was the first to be fired, Martin lived on in tales of the afterlife for The Apprentice fired. Martin set up a respite for those who had been tossed aside by The Donald and their team mates. Oh, if we could only unlock his mind and let all of what he knows play on a screen — NOW THAT WOULD BE GREAT TV!

Of course, for the one day of air time Martin did receive, he definitely made an impression with his picnic cloth shirt, African proverbs (though he had proverbs from other lands had he not been fired) and, of course, Martin’s Rock, the unmistakable Mr. Clarke made a lasting impression and makes us wish that, like Survivor, The Apprentice had a jury.

Frankie and Nicole vs. James and Stefanie competing on the final task. Each team is to write and produce a 60 second commercial for Renuzit.

Nicole and Frankie design a commercial around a professional mom who has to go to a hospital since her son is hurt. Renuzit makes everything smell better - from the smokey jacket to the smelly bum.

Stefanie and James design a courtroom scene where a wife is charging her husband with stinking up the family home. After a night of cards and cigars the husband refreshes everything with Renuzit and is found not guilty.

We see who hits the mark next week at the season finale.

What is your favorite thing to see / visit and place to eat in LA - send us your suggestions at apprentice [at] tubecasts.com.

Thanks to all of you for your contributions to this great season. We’ll be back some more next week and we’ll have a finale show but it’s hard to tell what’s going to happen this week — but it should be fun!

She was Trump’s golden girl and as we found out, though it didn’t give her immunity, she probably learned how to survive in an environment like this from being a successful young pretty girl in a middle aged male dominated position.

Including doubling her company’s sales and doing charitable works for both the Nueva Project and Imerman Angels, Heida also camps and travels.
Hey, she told us that was her nickname at the house!

Kristine’s quick wit and ability to articulate a thought in record speed (and at times with maxium humor) earns her the claim to be able to fire “platimun bullets” (silver isn’t good enough for this girl). She may be one of the few people standing that has teased Trump about his hair - not just once but twice! She even has been able to make Trump nervous in his own boardroom.

On a serious note - women, girls - take your pap test seriously.

It was great to talk with Kristine! Learn more about Kristine at www.KristineLefebvre.com.

The end of Trump Trailer Park! Everyone moves back into the mansion, there will no longer be Project Managers, and the two teams will divide into three teams of two. James and Stefanie, Kristine and Nicole, and Frank and Heidi.

James and Stefanie again work great together to prepare and present an awesome advertising and promotional campaign for Trump’s Las Vegas buildings. Kristine and Nicole struggle through the task - Nicole appears to sleep a lot and Kristine appears to be doing most of the work. Their presentation is choppy and then the big flaw - the number on the brochure is wrong! Heidi and Frank are complete opposites and don’t find any middle ground to work. Frank works on the video and Heidi works on the brochure. In the end they don’t show their theme, the presentation was lacking and the brochure is text on black space.

Trump is so irrated that he will fire one from two of the teams rather than one team. In the end Heidi couldn’t keep her story straight until she admited that she didn’t perform well on this task so after a thoughful speech she gets the words “You are fired”, and then Trump turns and fires Kristine for getting the number wrong on the brochure.

The final four are Nicole, James, Stefanie, and Frank (hmmm, Arrow still lives). Good luck guys!!

Thank you for listening and participating - you guys are great.

After being referred to in Wikipedia.org, I thought it was probably time to make a page to which these references can be pointed within WikiPedia. Low and behold, I found the first rule of WikiPedia: Don’t write about yourself. After being a bit pissed off that some editor delete the entry I made witin about 10 minutes of my putting it up, I realized that there is some goodness in what they were trying to do and, therefore, conceded to temporary defeat.

So this leads me to beg: If anyone would like to make a WikiPedia page for Armchair Apprentice (and/or Armchair Survivor) we would be most grateful. This is truly something we can’t do for ourselves. Apparently, it’s against the rules.

thanx,

Dr. Susanne Cohen Will Give Away 5 Smart Mouth Prize Packages (details below)

Dr. Susanne Cohen joined us tonight — OK — we commandeered her through the internet to tell us what the deal was with Smart Mouth (the product on the 4/1 episode of The Apprentice). Susanne explained that Smart Mouth causes the germs in your mouth to stop making foul odors. It’s like a magic pill that will make a drunk not burp. No gases coming out, no smell. It’s that easy.

We then took her to task about who won the task and we learned some VERY interesting things about what happened on that task that was not even close to being apparent on TV. Nonetheless, Nichole, Kristine and Heidi are not just pretty faces — those girls worked that thing.

The best part is not only will Mike get some free Smart Mouth to take care of his pie-hole but so will five (5) lucky listeners. Susanne was gracious enough to offer five Smart Mouth care packages with the special two-part mouth wash as well as gum, mints and toothpaste. Sound good? Here’s how you enter:

Send your name and delivery address to either:

Smart Mouth Apprentice Drawing
231 Springside Drive #212
Akron, Ohio 44333

or simply e-mail your name and delivery address to SmartMouthApprentice@TubeCasts.com

Entries need to be received by April 16, 2007 5:00 p.m. eastern time. We can ship to addresses in the United States only.

Check out Susanne’s products on line at http://smartmouth.com as well as http://www.drugstore.com. You can also find Smart Mouth at most regional and national drug stores, too.

Tim watches over the hedge and is happy to see Nicole come back from the Boardroom - all this attention to Nicole is making Team Arrow question Tim’s loyalty to the team.

The task is to create an advertising supplement for SmartMouth mouthwash for the LA Times. Arrow creates a brochure with the concept “SmartMouth is for everyone” and uses people from the street to show the transition from bad breath to “smart” breath. Kinetic utilizes the team as models and shows “24 Hour a day fresh breath”. The Executives pick Kinetic as the clear winners.

The reward for Kinetic is dinner at the mansion cooked by top chefs - the chefs turn out to be family members (one really being a chef). It was a cool reward and we got to see a more personal side of Team Kinetic.

In the boardroom Stefani, James and Frankie question Tim’s loyalty to the team and his ability to concentrate and not disrupt the group all over his relationship with Nicole. Trump won’t listen to Tim’s rationale and Tim gets fired.

Angela was a strong contender on Apprentice - being called a leader and a good team player - heck even Donald and Ivanka were rooting for her! In the end she did get fired but left with her integrity and the respect of her teammates and the viewers.

Angela has also done great things outside the Apprentice to help others. She has written a book, Breaking the Ice: My Journey to Olympic Hockey, The Ivy League & Beyond and is active with several charities - Project Hope, Moms Team, Right To Play, and Women’s Sports Foundation. More information about Angela and these great projects can be found at www.AngelaRuggiero.com

To name a few things that Angela Ruggiero has done - won a bronze, silver and gold medal in the Olympics, graduated from Harvard, has been on the Apprentice and to top it off - has hugged Donald Trump. Seriously, Angela earned Donald’s respect for her accomplishments and then increased that respect with her great work on the Apprentice.

Angela is a remarkable person. Her skills aquired from playing sports translated well into the business world. A great lesson to remember when working with executives / anyone - don’t grip too tight (or come on too strong) or every shot will bounce right off, release a little and you can make a strong, clean hit / shot.

This week, it would suck to be Angela. She got fired.

This week, it would suck even more to be James. He had a nasty choice to make.

This week, it would suck to high hell to be Tim. This is so because this week it sucked to be Nichole but she doesn’t take it lying down. Tim was the recipient of a no-win situation — even though Arrow won the task.

The background music at the beginning of the show was composed and recorded by Tim (more than likely as a way of telling Nichole he’s still a decent guy who really loves her). The name of the cut we used is called “Another Time” and you can hear it in its entirety by purchasing the album, Turning Home (only 7 bucks download) at AeroWave.com — or go to TimUrban.com. There are a lot of nice cuts on this album and if Tim isn’t too pissed off about our turning his song into a lovely background for stupid sexual banter, we’ll try to play some more for ya.

Also, if you like the Buddy TV (and we know that you’ve asked us to do BuddyTV for “The Apprentice”, too, we can do ya one better: Jenn Hoffman is now doing BuddyTV for “The Apprencie”. We caught her show — she’s deliciously evil — just the way we lover her!

Immaturity abounds on this episode of The Apprentice (not that we are one to talk) so we pretend we’re our kids and discuss the show.

Granted, our Ohio bro Surya may not have the same kind of style as the rest of Arrow and maybe he’s not the first guy you think of for a camp out but he’s definitely a smart guy and if he and Arrow would have met half way — even if it was just to get the challenge done — they all would have been further ahead. Instead, we think the lack of years and wrinkles on the entire team showed. And, for those who are wondering, the gray hair, wrinkles and lack of energy has it advantages — you don’t find it necessary to make your point if it’s not going to get you anywhere (in fact, I kind of take joy in not making a point sometimes). In the end, Surya is sent packing but not without a fight. Further more, the final exit wasn’t like our friends Aimee’s (laser eyes that bring the target’s skin to a volcanic boil), Jenn’s (I think she giggled) or Derek’s (a quick taxi ride to the un-employement office and then to the Moose Lodge). Instead, Tim and James stood at the front door with a look on their faces that were similar to those watching, with new found remorse, THE crucifixion (but for all I know maybe Trump had just mooned them with gobbler — you never know with the editing).

We hope to be able to talk to Surya so keep your eyes peeled for a mid-week show or two. We also have a listener, W.G., from MySpace that has shared some of this thoughts on a “The Apprentice Season 7″ which, too, will be coming out with the next 7 days.

Though Jenn is the shortest apprentice of Season 6, she stands 10 feet tall when it comes to dirty dishing — and she did not disappoint! During her stay at the mansion her MySpace monikers went from “BabyJenn” to “Evil Apprentice BabyJenn” to “Apprentice BabyJenn is FIRED!!!” to “BITCH!!!, BRING IT ON!”. OK, we made up the last one but during our two hour conversation with Jenn she aptly showed all of these sides of her personality — and we loved it! Jenn was yet another great guest from The Apprentice Season 6.

During the course of our conversation with Jenn, she needed an effective way to demonstrate to FrankieSuits (aka FrankieStuds and now FrankieBalls) that grabbing a lady’s ass is not polite. We immediately thought of our friends Keith and Chemda from Keith and The Girl. Keith, a long time supporter of continuing education, allowed us to pass along to Jenn (and the rest of you) his educational audio rendition of “Brumski” from his “Coming of Age” CD. We suspect that when we get to LA in April we will have to keep a sharp ear out for the yelling of “BRUMSKI” and have a “NO BRUMSKI” perched on our lips at all times. By the time our friends at The Apprentice get through with it, though, they may have their own version of the game called “TRUMPSKI”.

This is part two of two of a conversation with Derek Arteta.

From the very beginning we knew that Derek was going to be trouble — and he delivered. The guy who watched his fellow candidates go north and south while he proudly goes east and west gives details about how he distributed love and malice for the 7 weeks he was on the show. Among other things, we found out who Derek is still talking to, how he managed his alliances and that he is a reality whore. Our guess we haven’t seen the last of this guy — either on Armchair Apprentice or in the world of reality TV.

Derek is probably going be responsible for The Donald’s latest memorable trait: White Trash. And Derek will be laughing all the way to the bank with his unemployment check.

Bang Bang! Double fire!

First it’s Derek and then it’s Jenn. Seems like the Donald didn’t get any nookie for the past few days or something. Jenn was fired because she was the project manager on the loosing team and Derek was fired for making a self deprecating joke. Good thing Mother Teresa is dead because The Donald would have fired her for having the funny smell of third world people on her clothes.

Armchair Apprentice fans are the winners, though, because that means we’ll have a couple of mid-week shows as we prepare to interview our two latest losers (OH, I’m sorry Mr. Trump — I mean, “persons with job-loss experience”. I don’t want to be funny — would I?). Keep those aggregators on or visit the web site often, folks.

We also talked to long time friend of the show, Susan, who was a reality TV article writer and has experienced a bunch having to do with reality TV. We talked with her for about an hour and we’re playing for you the part where we asked about the haves and the have-nots in The Apprentice and Survivor. It seems so appropriate considering Derek is now collecting his Trump un-employment (Trun-employment) check and probably huntin’ squirrel in the back yard behind the tents. Heard tell he put one of them Lexus’s on blocks and is livin’ in that until the Greyhound comes to pick him up.

Susan is looking to get back into professional writing after a couple of year hiatus so if anyone had a job for her, let us know (apprentice [at] tubecasts.com).

Also, Armchair Apprentice will be podcasting from Los Angeles for the season finale. We’re not sure what will happen and we can’t say what will happen we’re committed to make it a great show for you. If you live in the LA area, let us know.

Picks for next week:
